Complimentary Bicycle Hire
Our hotel residents will have access to our complimentary bicycles to explore nearby attractions, such as Ballyseedy Woods. Cycle through one of Ballyseedy’s looped trails and listen to the relaxing sound of the River Lee flowing.
The nearby woods have at least twenty-two varieties of native trees and they are labelled with their Irish and English names in the woodland. An abundance of history connected to Ballyseedy Woods and you will find this information displayed on plaques throughout the woods.
Enhance your exploration by booking one of our Ballygarry Signature Picnics to take on your adventure. With adults and children’s bikes to choose from, it is guaranteed fun for all the family.

Estate Walks
Our estate, in development, is being created as part of our goal to become a more sustainable business. While our landscaped gardens provide a picturesque setting, with a wonderful selection of plants & trees, peaceful water fountains and stunning views of the Sliabh Mish Mountains. Beyond our gardens, you will find our Estate, a hundred acres of re-wilded lands, which runs all the way to the River Lee and borders Ballyseedy Woods.
The Estate will comprise of extensive walkways, integrated wetlands, an apiary (we make our own honey), scenic bench locations, two fulacht fiadh archaeological sites, fifteen acres of native woodland plantation and is home to a wealth of bird life, including Heron, Snipe, Teal and a selection of Finches.
Our aim is to give back, what for generations, has been taken out. As a business, between purchasing, operations and our estate, we have already become a carbon neutral business.

Fairy Trail
Our enchanted fairy trail is one of a kind. Let your imagination run wild, as you and yours scurry through our beautiful gardens, which are home to a number of forest fairies. Ask Oisín, our Concierge, or a member of our team, for a map to our enchanted fairy trail and discover the hidden magic that can be found at Ballygarry. At the back of our map there are questions to help you on your quest, should you find the hidden magic there may be some treats as a reward. Our magic fairy trail has been known to attract adults and children alike.

Foraging Walks
For all the nature enthusiasts and food lovers, we urge you to explore all of the natural plants growing, in their own habitat, within our grounds. Guests are always amazed at the variety of plants and natural flora that we home here at Ballygarry.
Ballyseedy Woods is renowned for it’s Wild Garlic in the Spring months. Then, as we move through the seasons, a plethora of Wild Berries adorns the hedgerows, along with a selection of Mushrooms and Wild Herbs.
