Food & Beverage Assistant

As Food & Beverage Assistants you will be expected to support the Food & Beverage Management Team in maintaining our dining venues excellent reputations and to provide Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa 4* standards of service to all customers in an attentive and courteous manner in accordance with current legislation.

Main Duties:

To offer an in-depth knowledge of food & beverage products and hotel services in general.
To ensure all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, and employment.
To maintain a clean Department at all times.
To set up covers and tables accordingly.
To prepare mise-en place prior to services, napkins, cruets, glassware, cutlery etc.
To take reservations and to greet guests upon arrival.
To take guest’s orders and offer explanations and advice on menu items.
To serve and clear tables according to 4* Standards.
To assist wash up by clearing and stacking all ware properly.
To attend to guest throughout meal.
To run food from kitchen to restaurant/brasserie.
To serve beverages at the bar when required.
To provide room service, set up of orders, deliver to room, and retrieve orders from room.
To assist in Afternoon Tea Service.
To handle guests problems discretely and professionally.
To report all maintenance problems directly to the manager on duty.
To attend and participate in Hotel Meetings and training.

Experience Required:

The ideal candidate must have experience in a similar environment and be able to work as part of a team in Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa.

You must be flexible in your role and be able to work split shifts, evenings and weekends.

Excellent customer care skills are essential and you must speak fluent English.

You must be available to work throughout the year.
